Our family was staying in Riverside while visiting family for Christmas. We got in on Christmas Eve and was looking for a place for dinner. We're so glad that Sushi Times was so close. An amazing place with superb service, affordable prices and delicious food! Appreciated that Sushi Times was open on Christmas Eve and there was parking available on site. The owner, Moses was so friendly and kind. He took time to answer our questions and help us decide what to order. My wife got the 12 piece sushi set, my teens split some ramen and a roll and I ordered the tempura udon. Our food arrived quickly and we all loved it. The fish was fresh and the portions were generous. My udon had a great chew/ bounce to it. The kids devoured the roll and ramen. Our big was way lower than what we've paid at lesser quality sushi spots. UC Riverside is blessed with this gem being so close to campus. You gotta check it out!

Sushi was very good. The mango tempura roll was 5/5. Only draw back was the hot saki had a funny after taste and I think the keg hadn't been changed in a while. But we didn't go for the beers, we went for the sushi. Would definitely go back...highly recommend.

Ramen options good, sushi is fresh. When I arrived , was attended immediately and seated right away. Soon as we hit the table drinks started flying out, there are televisions on both sides, so I was still able to watch TNF. Restaurant was not too crowded and the servers are kind, the vibes were chill, nothing too crazy. Prices are reasonable, this place is a good spot for some quick seating , good food , and fast service. Highly recommend.

The ramen was delicious! The pork melted in my mouth, and the broth had great flavor with depth. A good portion of noodles in it, and what stood out to me the most was that the hard boiled egg in it tasted like it was soaked in sake, really adding to the flavor. It was great! The sushi was pretty good, with a nice presentation. One of our table's orders was taking a while to come out, so they gave a miso soup on the house while waiting. I would come back and would recommend!

Sapporo roll was 5/5 delicious. Crispy spicy tuna was 3/5. The lemon pepper salmon chefs special was very mehhhh... I didn't like it but my husband really did so I'll also give it a 3/5. Also tried the gyoza which was also yummy. Service was nice and quick. Our waters never emptied. Private parking lot but I could see how during peak hours it would be a struggle to find parking. Inside is small, just a few tables.

During, and after the Pandemic in 2020/21, it was clear that our primary go-to sushi spot, R91, was sinking fast, nor has it ever recovered in terms of staffing and quality. Another spot, Sushi OK, closed its doors, which leaves primarily AYCE places, with their varied levels of mediocrity. I'm surprised it took so long to try this almost 3-years-old restaurant, but I'm glad we did. Plus, they're open later than most other spots. Being near the UCR campus and student housing certainly keeps the place going. We marked several late tables in the last hour of operation, as well as a brisk to-go stream. A little short staffed in front, one of the sushi chefs took our order because the server was tied up at the register. His name was Paul, too, so that was cool! Our food came out quickly enough, and not all at once, so it was relaxing. We really enjoyed the apparent quality of the fish, and presentations were very good as well. The backed Mussels are wonderful, and we would definitely order two more in the future. While I didn't get any sashimi or nigiri sushi this visit, I'll be interested in branching out from the excellent rolls. Overall, we enjoyed the food, late night eating option, and the friendly staff. Prices are also competitive.

This is a very small sushi restaurant. It was very warm indoors and seemed short staffed. One waitress and one bus boy. Why we were served ice water in small to go cups was beyond me when we first sat down. The presentation is beautiful, and the fish was of good quality. Would we come back? Maybe when it isn't so hot out and a less busier time.
